SUBJECT: Seeking Approval to Amend Sprint Contract (C06-1382-PUR)
DEPARTMENT: Purchasing
BCC DISTRICT: All
STATEMENT OF ISSUE: [PUR] Board Approval of Amendment 1 and 2 of Sprint Contract
(C06-1382-PUR).
BACKGROUND & ANALYSIS: The existing contract with Sprint does not include an
allowable charge for static internet protocol (IP) addresses. (Static IP addresses are computer
addresses assigned by Information Systems to specific pieces of equipment which allow for
better security of our network.) Amendment #1 adds the allowable charge for static IP addresses

at a rate of $26.99 without the $3 fee for static IP addresses. New 3G/4G modems are eligible for
a reduced monthly charge that is not currently addressed on the existing contract. Amendment #2
will add 3G/4G modems at a reduced rate of $19.99. Amendments are attached.
OPTIONS: Approve/Deny Sprint Contract Amendments 1 and 2 (C06-1382-PUR).
