BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS AGENDA REQUEST DATE: April 5, 2016 TO: Honorable Chairman and Members of the Board FROM: Jason Autrey SUBJECT: Public Event Permit - Bluewater Fitness Run DEPARTMENT: Public Works BCC DISTRICT: 5 STATEMENT OF ISSUE: Bluewater Fitness & Wellness Center is requesting a Public Event Permit to raise funds for Sharing & Caring of Niceville - Valparaiso - Choctaw Beach. BACKGROUND: The event will be held April 16, 2016 from 8:15 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. The course will run along White Point Road from the fitness center to the dead end circle at the Mid Bay Bridge Offices and back. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to Sharing & Caring. The Okaloosa County Sheriff's Posse will be on hand to take care of traffic control needs. OPTIONS: Approve / Disapprove the request for a Public Event Permit from Bluewater Fitness. RECOMMENDATIONS: Request Board approval for a Public Event Permit for the Bluewater Fitness Run as submitted by Bluewater Fitness & Wellness Center. RECOMMENDED BY: APPROVED BY: John Hofstad, County Administrator
