We are respectfully requesting a permit for a 5K run/walk and 1mile fun run to benefit the Niceville High Track and Field Facility. The race staging area is at Hurricane Grill and Wings in Bluewater Bay (579 FL-20). The course will begin on Whitepoint Rd, continue south on Whitepoint Rd, turn around, continue north on Whitepoint Rd, and finish on Whitepoint Rd. Course Map is attached. The date is December 10, 2016. The start times are 9:00 am for the 5k and 10:00 am for the 1 mile. The theme for the event is “Ugly Christmas Sweater”. The event is sanctioned by USA track and Field which also includes insurance (third party certificate will be provided for Okaloosa BCC as additional insured). Permission has been granted by Maj. Gaddis of the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office and Mr. Henderson from Public Safety. Florida Highway Patrol will be on scene to support the event (POC – Joel Clark).
