Public Content Florida state law requires an annual adjustment to the minimum wage based on inflation as measured by the consumer price index. The Florida state minimum wage will increase from $8.10 to $8.25 per hour, effective January 1, 2018. The Substitute and Temporary Employee Salary Schedule will require an hourly rate increase of $0.15, from $8.10 to $8.25, in order to comply with the new minimum wage standards.
