Thank you for your assistance last year with our Okaloosa County Wear Pink Day Proclamation request. On behalf of Twin Cities Hospital and Fort Walton Beach Medical Center, I would like to make the same request for 2015 and have this added as an agenda item to the September 1st Okaloosa County Commission meeting. If approved, our 2nd Annual Okaloosa County Wear Pink Day Proclamation Ceremony will be Thursday, October 1, 2015 at Fort Walton Beach Medical Center. This ceremony will coincide with the kick-off of a month-long Breast Cancer Awareness campaign initiated by Twin Cities Hospital and Fort Walton Beach Medical Center. We would appreciate the support of the Commission on encouraging citizens to wear pink to raise awareness for this disease and to honor those who have been affected in any capacity. If the proclamation is approved, we also invite all members of the Commission to join us and a representative to read the proclamation at our kick-off ceremony on Thursday, October 1st.
