READING DATE lst 2nd 5 o o ORDINANCE 2026 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WALTON BEACH, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE DISPOSITION OF REAL PROPERTY ON MIRACLE STRIP PARKWAY SW, DESCRIBED HEREIN, TO THE JACKSON LAND COMPANY AND AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING CLOSURE BY THE MAYOR, CITY MANAGER, CITY ATTORNEY, AND CITY CLERK; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WALTON BEACH, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Authority and Intent The authority for enactment of this ordinance is contained in Section 2. 00.05 of the Code of Ordinances. The City intends to transfer City-owned property to its previous owner, the Jackson Land Company for future development activities. The City has no future need for the property. The property is a 0. 98- acre portion of the parcel currently utilized for the City' s Civic Auditorium and City Hall Complex and is currently listed as Parcel ID No. 23- 25-24- 0000-0010- 0000. The proposed address will be 115 Miracle Strip Parkway SW. Section 2. Disposition of City-Owned Property The disposition of the City- owned property at 115 Miracle Strip Parkway SW will occur via recording of a Warranty Deed as attached. Section 4. Findings The City Council of the City of Fort Walton Beach, Florida, finds that the transfer of the parcel is made based upon utilization of the property and development for uses benefiting the City and its citizens.
