STATEMENT OF ISSUE: [PUR] Seeking Board approval to purchase one (1) Front End
Loader (4.75cy) RFB #34-14.
BACKGROUND: The Public Works Department has requested the purchase of a Front End
Loader (4.75cy). Bids were opened on March 12, 2014 and eight (8) bids were received.
Coastal Machinery Company (Pensacola, FL) submitted the lowest responsive bid meeting
specifications for a total cost of $204,058.90. Funding is available in the Public Works FY14
budget account #3202-564402.
OPTIONS: Approve/Deny purchase of one (1) EA 2014 Bobcat Loader Model #T870 from
Coastal Machinery Company for $204,058.90.
RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends approving purchase of One (1) Front End Loader
from Coastal Machinery Company for $204,058.90.
