How The Sand Raker Works The unique Barber Surf Rake is operated by a single person from the seat of a towing tractor. The moldboard levels uneven areas in the sand before cleaning. A grid of hundreds of stainless steel tines mounted in offset rows rake through the sand every second removing debris from the sand which deposits refuse on the conveyor to the 3 yard hopper. The results are a clean, safe and well manicured beach. The beach cleaning machine are effective in removing beach pollution such as seaweed, fish, glass, syringes, plastic, cans, cigarettes, shells, stone, wood and virtually any unwanted debris. Services Offered 1. Environmental conscious mechanical beach grooming with finisher for aesthetic visual appeal. We remove the debris not the sand. 2. Rake/Smooth and finish of your Gulf-front beach. This would be in the months that you would not want or need a deep clean as this service does not remove debris. This would be just smoothing and dressing your beachfront. 3. We do have a blade available if necessary and on call for storm clean up, red tide and other environmental cleanup needs that may occur throughout the year. 4.
