This was a effort to clean up the beaches due to the Republican National Convention that was being held in Tampa and there were State Delegates staying in the City of Treasure Island. The Sand Raker picked up and collected the seaweed in the hopper of the surf rake then dumped into the city’s dump trucks that were taken to the dump site. The Sand Raker picked up around 114 Tons of material during that clean up and everyone was impressed with the clean up and the finished product bringing the beach back to its natural beauty. The City of Treasure Island would not hesitate to use the Sand Raker in the future when the need arises. You may call me directly if needed, 727-547-4575 ext 257.
