STATEMENT OF ISSUE: Provide clarification/correction of the amount stated on the
previously submitted agenda item for $91,800. The negotiated amount was $93,814.
BACKGROUND & ANALYSIS: Bids were opened on March 5, 2104 to solicit a construction
company to perform minor repairs and additions to the Health Department Modular Building and
only one (1) bid was received. Jimmy Henderson II Construction (Fort Walton Beach, FL) was
the only responsive bidder for a initial cost of $91,800. The amount referenced in the agenda
narrative on the previous April 1, 2104 agenda item was $91,800. The final negotiated price was
$93,814. All bid documents are correct. The incorrect amount was only listed in the agenda
narrative.
OPTIONS: Approve/Disapprove the correction of the amount on the previous agenda item
narrative from $91,800 to $93,814.
RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends approval of the correction on the previous agenda
item narrative from $91,800 to $93,814.
