SUBJECT: Destin Tower--FDOT Amended Funding
DEPARTMENT: Airport

STATEMENT OF ISSUE: The Board of County Commissioners is requested to approve
Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) Supplement One to adjust grant funding for the
Destin Airport air traffic control tower (ATCT).
BACKGROUND: This Supplemental Joint Participation Agreement (SJPA) adjusts funding to
include $2,000,000 of VPS Federal funding to the Destin Airport ATCT project. It also reflects
an additional $750,000 of Passenger Facility Charge funding bringing the local matching funds
to $1,000,000 with FDOT funding $1,000,000 for 50% of the non-federal share. The total
projected funding is now $4,000,000. The FDOT also requires a signature resolution authorizing
the Chairman's signature.
OPTIONS: Approve, Table or Disapprove
RECOMMENDATIONS: Staff recommends approval of SJPA Number One and authorization
for the Chairman to execute the attached Signature Resolution.
