SUBJECT: ECCC Food and Beverage/Catering Services Contract

STATEMENT OF ISSUE: Request approval for Chairman to sign contract for Food and
Beverage/Catering Services at the Emerald Coast Convention Center with Aramark Sports and
Entertainment Services.
BACKGROUND: On December 17, 2013, the Tourist Development Department received
permission from the BOCC to issue an RFP for catering services at the Emerald Coast
Convention Center. Four (4) bids were received in response to the RFP and were opened on
Friday, January 17, 2014 at 4:00pm. The bids were dispersed to the review committee members:
Bill Leaman, Convention Center General Manager; Ed Schroeder, Tourist Development
Department Director; Rick Owen, County Administrator's Office; Jack Allen, Purchasing; and
Commissioner Nathan Boyles. Permission was granted on March 4, 2014 to negotiate a contract
with Aramark. A final contract was negotiated and signed copies received on Friday, May 23,
2014 from Aramark.
The County shall be compensated as follows: 20% of gross receipts (commission), 25% of net
vending revenue, 1% of gross receipts (marketing reserve), and 2% of gross receipts (utility
reserve).
OPTIONS: Approve or Disapprove
RECOMMENDATION: Approve contract for Food and Beverage/Catering Services at the
Emerald Coast Convention Center with Aramark Sports and Entertainment Services, and
authorize Chairman to sign the contract.
