BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS AGENDA REQUEST DATE: August 2, 2016 TO: Honorable Chairman and Members of the Board FROM: Don Vanderhoek SUBJECT: L-3 Communications Assignment, Renewal of C14-2198-IS DEPARTMENT: Information Technology BCC DISTRICT: ALL STATEMENT OF ISSUE: The Board is requested to approve the assignment (name change) of the contract with L-3 National Security Solutions, Inc. to CACI NSS, Inc. (CACI) (C14-2198- IS). This contract expires on August 4, 2016, therefore, staff also requests approval of the renewal of the contract for three (3) years. BACKGROUND: On August 05, 2014 the Board approved contract C14-2198-IS with L-3 National Security Solutions, Inc. (L-3). L-3 has requested to assign (name change) to CACI NSS, Inc. (CACI). Staff and the vendor also request to exercise its last three (3) year renewal option. This renewal will begin on August 5, 2016 and expire on August 4, 2019. The assignment (name change) and renewal is defined in the First Amendment and is attached for your consideration. This is a change to the legal entity name CAGE Code, DUNs code, and resources performing on our Consulting Agreement all remain unchanged. The Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN) for CACI NSS remains the same as it was for L-3 NSS. This contract must be renewed to continue ongoing support and coordination for the following IT related services such as: networking, VoIP, administration, analysis, installation, security, storage, virtual environments and email. OPTIONS: Approve/Disapprove RECOMMENDATIONS: Staff recommends that the Board approve the First Amendment to C14-2198-IS which will facilitate the name change from L-3 National Security Solutions, Inc. to CACI NSS, Inc., and the renewal.
