STATEMENT OF ISSUE: Request approval of bid award to Hub City Ford for two (2) 2015
dual rear wheel diesel trucks with service body air compressors and inverters.
BACKGROUND & ANALYSIS: Water & Sewer requested to purchase two (2) 2015 dual rear
wheel diesel trucks with service body air compressors and inverters. Bids were due on February
18, 2015 and two (2) bids were received. Fleet and Water & Sewer staff have reviewed the bids
and determined that Hub City Ford was the most responsive bidder at a price of $151,998.00
($75,999.00 per truck). Staff requests approval to award the bid to Hub City Ford for the two (2)
2015 dual rear wheel diesel trucks with service body air compressor and inverter. A requisition
will be processed when/if the Board approves the award of the bid. This purchase was approved
in the budget process for $65,000 for each vehicle (Total $130,000). The remaining funding is
available in the equipment account due to other purchases coming in below the budgeted
amount.
OPTIONS: Approve/Deny award of the bid to Hub City Ford for two (2) 2015 dual rear wheel
diesel trucks with service body air compressor and inverter for the bid price of $151,998.00.
RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends award of the bid to Hub City Ford for two (2) 2015
dual rear wheel diesel trucks with service body air compressor and inverter for the bid price of
$151,998.00.
