BACKGROUND: Through adoption of County Resolution 13-47 at the Board of County Commissioners' meeting on March 5, 2013, the Board agreed to establish an advisory committee to assist in determining projects that qualify for RESTORE Act funding and therefore would serve the public interest. The composition of this committee was included in the Resolution. To date, the above mentioned entities have submitted nominees for membership on the ORAAC. If approved, the following will represent the associated entities on the committee: Okaloosa League of Cities North (Crestview) - Thomas Gordon Okaloosa League of Cities South (Destin) - Sam Seevers Charter Boat Association and Fishermen’s Cooperative - Gary Jarvis Greater Fort Walton Beach Chamber of Commerce - Dr. Jack Azzaretto Niceville-Valparaiso Chamber of Commerce - Dr. David Goetsch Okaloosa County School Board - Cindy Frakes OPTIONS: Approve or disapprove nominees. RECOMMENDATIONS: Staff recommends approval all listed nominees.
