BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS AGENDA REQUEST DATE: August 16, 2016 TO: Honorable Chairman and Members of the Board FROM: Tracy Stage SUBJECT: First Class Perks Amendment Number One DEPARTMENT: Airport BCC DISTRICT: 2 STATEMENT OF ISSUE: The Airports Department requests approval by the Board of County Commissioners for First Class Perks’ Lease Amendment Number One to extend their Lease at the Destin - Fort Walton Beach Airport. BACKGROUND: On September 20, 2011, the Board approved First Class Perks, LLC to provide food/beverage concession at the Destin - Fort Walton Beach Airport. First Class Perks’ Amendment Number One extends the expiration date from August 21, 2016 to January 31, 2017, to allow the Airports Department sufficient time to conduct a competitive RFP. Following requested approval, Airport staff will work with the Purchasing Department to bring back an RFP and industry selection committee request for Board action. First Class Perks’ certificate of insurance is attached along with the contract and lease internal coordination sheet. OPTIONS: Approve, Reject or Table. RECOMMENDATIONS: It is Staff's recommendation that the Board approve First Class Perks’ Lease Amendment Number One as described above. RECOMMENDED BY: APPROVED BY: John Hofstad, County Administrator
