All visitors must speak into microphone for live broadcast & give name & address. Earth Day Beach Cleanup on Saturday, April 20, 2013, 8-10 a.m. Volunteers are invited to sign in at Beasley Park on Okaloosa Island, the Beach Park west of Island Princess on Okaloosa Island, and Henderson Beach State Park in Destin. Okaloosa County Tourist Development Department, the Okaloosa County Environmental Council organize the cleanup twice a year, promoting protection of our beaches, marine life and ecosystems! 114,000 lbs of plastic, glass, styrofoam, fishing net and line,&1.4 trillion cigarette butts are carelessly discarded worldwide each year. U P D A T selected •The Time Capsule Committee met last week and the Heritage Museum of NWF for the location of the Time Capsule once it is filled this year.
