BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS AGENDA REQUEST DATE: June 7, 2016 TO: Honorable Chairman and Members of the Board FROM: Jason Autrey SUBJECT: Final Payment - Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard Resurfacing DEPARTMENT: Public Works BCC DISTRICT: 4 STATEMENT OF ISSUE: Anderson Columbia Co., Inc. is requesting final payment, including release of retainage, for contracted work associated with the Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard resurfacing project. BACKGROUND AND ANALYSIS: On June 4, 2015 Okaloosa County entered into contract with Anderson Columbia Co., Inc. to perform the work associated with the Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard milling and resurfacing project. All work has been completed and found to be in compliance with the approved plans and specifications. Final acceptance of the project was issued on February 11, 2016 after a final inspection was conducted by HDR inspectors and County staff. The Contractor has submitted a final invoice along with required closeout documentation and is now requesting final payment and release of retainage. Through the course of the project, there were eight change orders resulting in a net decrease of $1,607.35, 0.08% under budget. A final pay application for the contract balance of $140,972.06 is attached. This final pay request will release all retainage and cause the work to enter the one year performance warranty period. OPTIONS: Approve/Disapprove final payment to Anderson Columbia Co., Inc. in the amount of $140,972.06 for work associated with the Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard resurfacing project.
