BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS AGENDA REQUEST DATE: September 1, 2015 TO: Honorable Chairman and Members of the Board FROM: James Puckett SUBJECT: Public Event Permit - Bridge to Bridge Walk DEPARTMENT: Public Works BCC DISTRICT: 2 STATEMENT OF ISSUE: Caressa Conway is requesting a Public Event Permit to raise funds for Suicide Prevention. BACKGROUND: The event will be held Saturday, September 5, 2015 from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. The course will run along the U.S. Highway 98 right-of-way from Brooks Bridge to the Destin Bridge. A race route outline was provided as part of the approval package. This request has been coordinated with the Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office who will be providing assistance with traffic during the event. OPTIONS: Approve / Disapprove RECOMMENDATIONS: Request Board approval for a Public Event Permit for the Bridge to Bridge Walk on Okaloosa Island as submitted by Caressa Conway. RECOMMENDED BY: APPROVED BY: John Hofstad, County Administrator
