Subject: Emerald Coast Earthquake Biker Bash 2015 Permit Ms. Whitman, 1. We request a permit be issued for the use of the parking lot at The Boardwalk on Okaloosa Island. Emerald Coast Harley-Davidson, The Boardwalk, Cumulus Broadcasting, and the Ramada have joined together to bring the Emerald Coast’s premier bike event to Okaloosa Island. In the absence of the Florida State HOG Rally, which was relocated this year, we have decided to spearhead a bike event for our local bike community as well as out of area bikers. Emerald Coast Earthquake: Biker Bash 2015 will be held October 21-25, 2015, with the intent of creating a biannual event that grows year to year. Our purpose is to bring an influx of tourists into our local market as the season winds down with the fall event, and then to provide our area with a bike event between spring break and our summer season. 2. The following is the planned schedule of the conduct of this year’s event. We have the full support of Harley-Davidson Motor Company who has even published the event to their national event calendar on the Harley-Davidson website. We have secured both local and out of market media buys including radio, print, billboards, and a digital marketing campaign to ensure that we capture and draw a large audience. In an effort to offer the bike community incentive to participate in this event, The Emerald Coast Earthquake will offer live music daily at the Swamp from 3pm-2am as well as food and beverage specials at all Boardwalk venues for participants. Additionally, in an effort to continue in our yearlong commitment of raising 100K for local charities in 2015, we have set up some bike events that will benefit some of our community’s non-profit organizations. The Emerald Coast HOG Chapter will be hosting rides to benefit CIC and CAC. Two bike shows are scheduled to benefit the Special Operations Warrior Foundation and the Veteran’s Memorial Tower. The Sand Dollar Motorcycle Club will be hosting its 35th Annual Pumpkin Run beginning and ending at the Boardwalk to benefit Elder Services on October 25. Leading up to the rally, we will be adding additional events to provide entertainment. 3.
