Subject: Reject all Bids for Golf Club Reclaimed Water Pump Station
1. BACKGROUND:
1. 1. The City of Fort Walton Beach operates two 18 -hole golf courses that require
continuous irrigation. The irrigation is provided by Okaloosa County via the
Arbennie Pritchett Water Reclamation Facility in the form of reclaimed water.
1. 2. The reclaimed water is stored in a 2, 000, 000 -gallon concrete ground storage
tank located on the Golf Club property and is distributed throughout the
property via a reclaimed water pump station.
1. 3. The existing reclaimed water pump station is outdated, unsafe, and inefficient.
Staff developed specifications to replace the pump station with new pumps, new
controls, and a new electrical system.
2. DISCUSSION:
2. 1. On April 19, 2012, the Purchasing Division issued Invitation to Bid ( ITB) No.
12 -020 to replace the Fort Walton Beach Golf Club Reclaimed Water Pumping
Station. On July 10, 2012, two ( 2) vendors submitted bids to complete the
necessary improvements.
2. 2. The two ( 2) vendors who submitted bid packages were as follows:

498, 000. 00
