The project purpose is to renovate finishes in the STEMM Academy

student experience and pride. The changes will reflect aspects of the

and visitors. These changes will also provide a more functional area for
Engineer's for America activities by raising the existing ceiling.

Public Content
Waste Management has provided the following information:
An outline for service whereby Okaloosa County schools served by Waste Management are able to participate in a recycle
program. Offering Recycle at the schools reinforces the student’s educational curriculum and commitment to improve the
local and global environment. By implementing a Recycle program at each school they service, and allowing for a 6-9 month
learning and participation curve, they estimate the schools could save nearly $6,000 annually.
Additionally, they are prepared to provide 5-6, 18-gallon bins for each school’s commons areas to assist in the collection of
recyclable material. Their front load cans have a large sticker on the front to remind participants what is considered acceptable
recycle material, plus they can provide a handout on recyclable material for each school to distribute.
Included on the spreadsheet is pricing for full service waste and recycle collection at Lewis Middle School and the STEMM
Academy in Valparaiso.
