BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS AGENDA REQUEST DATE: August 2, 2016 TO: Honorable Chairman and Members of the Board FROM: Kay Godwin SUBJECT: PR Expense Form DEPARTMENT: County Administrator BCC DISTRICT: All STATEMENT OF ISSUE: Request approval of proposed Public Relations and Entertainment Related Expense Reimbursement Form. BACKGROUND: The Purchasing Manual and Tourist Development Department Manual authorize promotional and entertainment related expenditures provided for by F.S. 125.0104(9) and F.S. 331.20. The County, while recognizing that expenditures of this nature are customary within the tourism and airline industries, is cognizant of public perception of funds being expended for such items. As such, separate accountability and justification for these expenditures are provided herein. The purpose of this form is to provide additional information regarding the nature, amount, purpose and justification for expenditures customary within the tourism and airline industries. OPTIONS: Approve/Deny RECOMMENDATIONS: Adopt the Public Relations and Entertainment Related Expense Reimbursement Form. RECOMMENDED BY: APPROVED BY: John Hofstad, County Administrator
