17. MAYOR/ COUNCIL COMMENTS
The Mayor advised he and Mr. Rynearson attended the Florida League of Cities convention and
that it was very worthwhile; had a meeting with HUD and the Soundside development is getting
closer to being built; that the community was award 50 vouchers by HUD for homeless veterans;
he attended the ribbon cutting ceremony on Butler Drive; and that he received thanks from
Beach Community Bank for the police department for their quick response to a robbery at the
bank.
The Mayor also reminded Council and the public that the budget hearings are scheduled for
Tuesday, September 6 at 5: 30 pm and Wednesday, September 21 at 5: 30 pm.
