Hey Clay,
Did you get any input on this? 1’ll be glad to include the language in the agenda item if
John is cool with it. Just have him send me an email or something stating he approves it.
Thanks

Subject: Crane Budget
Hi Folks,
We have received a bid of $669k (round) for the new crane but only had a
budget amount of $600k set aside. We had underruns of $18k (round) on other
equipment purchases so we are short approximately $51k (round) in the
equipment line item in the budget as a net figure.
Looking at the bridge conversion account 3202.563167, we have an underrun of
approximately $56k (round) and the bridge conversion for the year is completed.

What we would recommend is that, when the purchase comes before the BCC
for approval, we provide language in that agenda item requesting authorization
from the BCC to exceed the $600k budgeted amount for the crane and to
transfer the underrun remaining in the bridge conversion account 3202.563167 to
the transportation equipment account 3202.564402 to cover the difference
between available funds and the cost of the crane.
The idea being to do it all in one agenda item if possible.
Does that work for everyone?
Thank you.
