STATEMENT OF ISSUE: Aero FX dba Emerald Coast Aviation entered into the original lease
agreement on January 1, 2009 to conduct Fixed Base Operations (FBO) at the Bob Sikes Airport.
Emerald Coast Aviation requests Amendment # 6 to obtain a mortgage.
BACKGROUND: Emerald Coast Aviation requests to amend their Lease Agreement with
Okaloosa County to add provisions which would allow Emerald Coast Aviation to mortgage its
interest as a Lessee under the Lease so that Emerald Coast Aviation can obtain funding from a
commercial lender to construct permanent improvements at their FBO location at the Bob Sikes
Airport.
OPTIONS: Approve, Reject or Table.
RECOMMENDATIONS: It is Staff's recommendation that the Board approve Emerald Coast
Aviation's request to obtain a mortgage as described above.
