STATEMENT OF ISSUE: Request Board approval to purchase 5 - ½ ton pick-ups from low
bidder, Don Reid Ford.
BACKGROUND & ANALYSIS: Bids were opened on January 8, 2014 to purchase 5 - ½ ton
pick-ups and (5) five bids were received. Don Reid Ford (Maitland, FL) submitted the lowest
responsive bid of $20,247.00 each for a total cost of $101,235.00. Departmental funding is
available in the FY2014 budget.
OPTIONS: Award or Reject.
RECOMMENDATION: Staff has reviewed bids and recommends awarding and issuing
purchase orders to Don Reid Ford as the lowest bidder.
