I have reviewed the Grant Agreement and have no changes to the document. It is acceptable
from legal's perspective. I am not exactly sure what is the approval form for grants but
would appreciate it if you or Marcella can let me know. I will then execute the form for
legal and get that back to you.

Subject: Grant Agreement
Greg and Lynn,
Attached are two files:
1) Request for Legal Services document
2) Scanned copy of the grant agreement between FDEP and Okaloosa County - Grant
Agreement S@697, Tanglewood and Overbrook Stormwater Improvements
This grant is to perform a couple of specific stormwater projects in the Gap Creek area.
About a year ago FDEP (Pearce Barrett) approached me about the projects; they have contracted
with the NWFWMD to perform the design and they will provide us with around $414k to do the
construction. Our only task (in kind match) is to administer the contract in construction.
The only “oddity” about this grant is that it reimburses at the end in a lump sum. Overall
not a big deal, rather straight forward projects by comparison.
I have worked through this grant with Pearce on getting the agreement in order and I would
have sworn that I had John Dowd review the documents; otherwise I wouldn’t have had Pearce
send me final sets for signature. But, as luck would have it, I can’t find confirmation from
John anywhere..I’m wondering if it wasn’t a phone conversation. Regardless, with the
transition of Counsel I figure it would be best to go ahead and get your formal review of the
attached agreement at this time so that I can place this on the BCC agenda.
