This is a planned fundraising event to benefit the Okaloosa Junior Lifeguard program and all proceeds go to that cause. The 5k will begin at the Boardwalk Lifeguard Tower. Participants will run/walk on the beach to the west, turnaround at Public Beach Accessway 4, and finish back at the Boardwalk. 1 milers will start at the Boardwalk, run/walk on the beach to the west, turn around at Public Beach Access 1, and finish back at the Boardwalk. The event will begin at 6:30 and is expected to end at or around 7:30. Okaloosa beach safety staff will be on hand to manage any emergencies and a need for additional security is not anticipated.
