The PIPELINE Grant will be the first year of implementation at Okaloosa Technical College. The grant is an entitlement grant based on
the high pass rate (95%) on the NCLEX licensure test that OTC has previously demonstrated. The Grant will allow Okaloosa Technical
College to pay for all salaries in the Practical Nursing Department to include 5.8 instructors in classroom and clinical settings and one 10
month secretary. Each student will be tracked with up to date documentation of hours both clinical and practical standards needed for
graduation/licensure. The offsetting of program costs for instructors will then allow for an increase in the capacity of high-quality nursing
education resources and materials. It will also lead to in increase in student enrollment allowing us to put more LPN's into the workforce
where they are in very high demand.
For additional information, please contact Jon Williams, Director, Okaloosa Technical College, (850) 833-3500.
