STATEMENT OF ISSUE: The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) lease renewal is being
presented to the Board of County Commissioners for approval.
BACKGROUND: The FAA has requested to renew their small area lease for real property
(office space), lease #DTFAEN-11-L-00087, at the Flight Service Facility at Bob Sikes Airport
(CEW). The Airport and FAA have agreed upon a five year renewal with an expiration date of
September 30, 2019. The lease fee will remain the same as the current lease as allowed for
partial in-kind services for the maintenance of on-airport ground based navigational aids. The
contract and lease internal coordination sheet is attached.
OPTIONS: Approve, Reject or Table.
RECOMMENDATIONS: It is Staff's recommendation that the Board approve the lease
renewal as described above.
