SUBJECT: Mosquito Control - Detailed Work Plan Budget - FY2015

STATEMENT OF ISSUE: The Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services
(FDACS) requires all Mosquito Control Districts to produce a Detailed Work Plan (DWP)
budget for the upcoming fiscal year.
BACKGROUND: The DWP budget is a snapshot of a planned MC district budget for the
upcoming Fiscal Year 2015. The attached DWP budget is equivalent to the preliminary budget
presented to and examined by the County Administrator and other staff on the May 28, 2014
CAO Budget Review.
The DWP budget is not expected to be a final district budget but provides FDACS with
information ultimately utilized in State legislative decisions on Mosquito Control grant
allocations. Final district budgets are to be delivered to FDACS on September 30th of each year
as the Annual Certified Budget for Arthropod Control. The DWP Budget is delivered to FDACS
before July 15th each calendar year.
OPTIONS: Approve/Disapprove
RECOMMENDATIONS: Staff recommends the Board approve the DWP Budget and allow the
Chairman to sign the budget and any other related FDACS documentation relating to the FY2015
MC budget in the future.
