Many of the issues address were concerns that George had with the event as well. The only thing we are needing for the event application to be put on the agenda for Commission approval is George’s approval of the event. Can both of you review the information and let me know if we have answered all of your concerns or if we need to work on anything else for the event at this point? WSA Parking Plan for Beach Nationals Our travel agency is working with a shuttle service to provide shuttles from all of our participating hotels during the event. Hire parking attendants to man the parking lot at the Boardwalk to insure the safety of all participants of our event and the general public that will be frequenting the businesses at the Boardwalk. Stake off the grass area surrounding the venue to eliminate parking in this area which was a problem last year and presented a safety hazard. We also have the option to buy out part of the Emerald Coast Convention Center parking lot for the weekend and then either provide a shuttle from their lot or have a parking attendant make sure people are only crossing in the designated crosswalk. Issues from George Golematis: Trash on the Beach. WSA has contacted Sandman (Beach Cleaning Service) to make arrangements for trash pickup on Saturday and Sunday of the event. | will follow up with them within the next week to make sure everything is ok with them. Port-a-Potty. WSA has contacted Pot-O-Gold for the rental of port-a-potties for the event. | am currently waiting on a quote for the units and will move on from there to secure the portable toilets for our event. A clear and unobstructed overflow corridor for emergency and essential vehicles only. WSA has moved the tents back for the event to allow for a corridor. As you can see in the attached site layout we think we have moved the tents back enough to alleviate this problem. Recommend and promote shuttle service to the Boardwalk for staff, contestants, and spectators. As listed in the parking plan we are working with our travel agency to provide shuttles for event from local hotels and the Emerald Coast Convention Center is needed.
