SUBJECT: Public Event Permit - NWFL Track Club - The Round the Bay Relay /
Ultra Race
Request approval: A Public Event Permit for The Round the Bay Relay / Ultra Race, to be held
Saturday, December 27, 2014, from 6:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. along major Roadways in Okaloosa
County
The run starts at Fudpucker's on Okaloosa Island and head east to and over the Mid-Bay Bridge,
along White Point Rd. Continue along Hwy 20 to SR 85 past the airport into Shalimar along
Eglin Parkway through Ft Walton Beach over the Brooks Bridge and back to Fudpucker's on
Okaloosa Island.
Expect 60-75 teams and 15 single runners to participate. There will be staggered start times over
2 hours, so all 90 runners will never be running together. There are usually only one or two
runners together. The runners will always face traffic, running on sidewalks or the shoulder of
the road. The Northwest Florida Track Club is not requesting any road closures and participants
will follow traffic signals where appropriate., sponsored by the Northwest Florida Track Club.
