Subject: Fwd: PROPERTY TAX INCREASE OKALOOSA ISLAND FIRE DISTRICT
I' VE ENCLOSED A COPY OF AN EMAIL I SENT TO THE FWB CITY COUNCIL IN JUNE THAT SUMMARIZES MY
FEELINGS ON THE ISSUE OF TAX INCREASES IN THIS VERY TOUGH TIME. AS THE OWNER OF THE
HOLIDAY INN AND OTHER BUSINESS INTEREST ON THE ISLAND I IMPLORE YOU TO RESIST THE
TEMPTATION TO RAISE TAXES NOW.
THE PRIVATE SECTOR SIMPLY HAS NO CHOICE IN MATTERS LIKE THIS. WE CUT COST OR GO OUT OF
BUSINESS. IT IS MORALLY WRONG TO INCREASE TAXES AND AVOID THE OPTION WE WHO PAY THE
TAXES ARE FORCED TO ENDURE.
P. S. I' M TOLD USING CAPS IS POLITICALLY INCORRECT. THAT PEOPLE WILL THINK I' M SHOUTING. BUT
I' M NOT, JUST A LAZY TYPIST...
