READINC; p 1st Jf'Kj ORDINANCE 1851 2nd Wit I AN ORDINANCE FLORIDA, OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF FORT WALTON BEACH, PROVIDING AUTHORITY & INTENT; AMENDING CHAPTER 16, DEVELOPMENT STANDARDS, OF THE LAND DEVELOPMENT CODE, TO AMEND THE SIGNAGE STANDARDS IN THE CF COMMUNITY FACILITIES ZONING DISTRICT; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WALTON BEACH, FLORIDA, THAT THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF FORT WALTON BEACH IS AMENDED AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Authority & Intent A. The authority for enactment of this ordinance is contained in Chapter 166. 021, and other provisions of the Florida Statutes and section 2 of the City Charter. B. The Municipal Planning Board, sitting as the Local Planning Agency, held a public hearing and considered this ordinance on _ 2011. The City Council conducted public hearings on o 2011 and 2011, after giving due public noti6k. C. The City Council finds that amending the signage standards for the Community Facilities zoning district is consistent with the current Comprehensive Plan of the City of Fort Walton Beach. Section 2. Amendment of Chapter 16, Code of Ordinances Chapter 16, Zoning Districts, of Volume V, Land Development Code, is hereby amended as follows: Section 16. 50) Table 16 -7, Part 1, Signs Permitted, HC, C -2, M -1, M -2, MUCC -2, CF and MUW -24 Districts" 16 Table 16 -7, Part 2, MUMS, MUW -18, MUCC -1, CF—,EF, OS, and YC Districts" Section 3. Conflicts All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with this ordinance are repealed to the extent of such conflict. Section 4. Severability If any word, phrase, sentence, paragraph or provision of this ordinance or the application thereof to any person or circumstance is held invalid or unconstitutional, such finding shall not affect the other provisions or applications of this ordinance which can be given effect without the invalid or unconstitutional provision or application, and to this end the provisions of this ordinance are declared severable. Section 5. Effective Date This Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon approval by the City Council and signature of the Mayor.
