STATEMENT OF ISSUE: Fleet Operations seeks authorization by the Board to sell surplus
equipment.
BACKGROUND AND ANALYSIS: The County has surplus equipment ready for disposal.
Disposition documentation has been completed for transfer of the equipment to Fleet Operations.
Fleet Operations requests Board authorization to sell this equipment through J.M. Wood
Auctions in Montgomery, AL on December 3-4, 2014.
OPTIONS: Approve/Disapprove Fleet Operations to proceed with the sale of the surplus
equipment.
RECOMMENDATION: Staff requests Board authorization for Fleet Operations to sell surplus
equipment.
