SUBJECT: Meal time waiver
01-0303 Okaloosa County Department of Corrections.
We request approval for a meal time waiver. We are requesting this wavier
because Florida Model Jat! Standards requires that we maintain a certain time
frame between the evening and morning meal for all inmates. We also must
balance meal times with medication distribution to ensure that inmates
receiving medication have their meals in a time frame that will not interfere
with the function of their medication, ‘The Facility cannot accommodate the
space and equipment required to prepare and offer meals to clients ata time
other than our set meal schedule for the rest of our inmate population. The
