AUTHORIZING RESOLUTION NO. 16 – ____ A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CHAIRMAN OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF OKALOOSA COUNTY, FLORIDA TO EXECUTE THE SUPPLEMENTAL JOINT PARTICIPATION AGREEMENT NO. 2 TO CONTRACT NO. ARN14 FOR TRANSIT CORRIDOR GRANT FUNDING. WHEREAS, as authorized under Chapter 341.051(5) Florida Statutes, the Florida Department of Transportation, hereinafter referred to as the Department, has entered into a Joint Participation Agreement, Contract No. ARN14, with the Okaloosa County Board of County Commissioners to provide Transit Corridor Grant funding to Okaloosa County, hereinafter referred to as the Agency; and WHEREAS, the DEPARTMENT has prepared a Supplemental Joint Participation Agreement No. 2 to Contract No. ARN14, and agrees to a maximum participation, including contingencies, in the project amount of $210,000 for use during Fiscal Year beginning 10/01/2017 through 09/30/2017; and WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners, as the Agency, has the authority to enter into the Joint Participation Agreement and Supplemental Joint Participation Agreement No. 2 to Contract No. ARN14, and to undertake the project. The Board of County Commissioners further agrees to the conditions upon which assistance will be provided and the understanding as to the matter in which the project will be undertaken, as outlined in the Joint Participation Agreement. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of County Commissioners of Okaloosa County, Florida that: 1. The above recitals are true and correct and are hereby incorporated herein. 2. The Chairman of the Board of County Commissioners is hereby authorized to execute the Supplemental Joint Participation Agreement #2 to Contract #ARN14.
