BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS AGENDA REQUEST DATE: July 7, 2015 TO: Honorable Chairman and Members of the Board FROM: Ed Schroeder SUBJECT: Promotional Reserves Update DEPARTMENT: Tourist Development Department BCC DISTRICT: 2,4,5 STATEMENT OF ISSUE: Providing the monthly reconciliation of the use of promotional reserve funds. BACKGROUND: Per the adopted FY15 Strategic Marketing Plan: “Promotional Reserve funds may be appropriated in accordance with County approval authority and with concurrence of the TDC Chairman. A monthly reconciliation of the use of promotional reserve funds will be provided to the TDC and BCC for informational purposes.” Promotional reserves in the amount of $100,000 were budgeted, of which $80,470 has been previously appropriated. No additional promotional reserve funds were allocated during the last month. Promotional reserves in the amount of $19,530 remain available for appropriation. The Tourist Development Council was provided this update at its June 25 meeting. OPTIONS: N/A RECOMMENDATION: For informational purposes only; no action required.
