SUBJECT: Fort Walton Beach Chamber of Commerce Contract - Renewal
Background
The Fort Walton Beach Chamber of Commerce assists the TDD with tourism-related services and
activities within the sub-county taxing district, and the County has historically funded these services
with tourist development tax revenues.
Discussion
The current agreement for tourism services terminates on September 30, 2014. The Fort Walton Beach
Chamber has indicated a desire to enter into a new agreement for the upcoming fiscal year.
The agreement period would be October 1, 2014 to September 30, 2015. The FY 2015 annual budgeted
amount for this agreement is currently $20K.
Pursuant to section E.200 of the TDD Operations & Procedures Manual, the TDC shall advise the Board
on contracts with third parties. This agreement does not require Board approval in accordance with
County purchasing policy.
