SUBJECT: Scheduling of Upcoming BCC Workshops
DEPARTMENT: County Administrator

STATEMENT OF ISSUE: Request consideration and discussion concerning scheduling of
various workshops for the Board for January - June 2013
BACKGROUND: The Board gave previous approval for the January - March 2013
calendar, which is attached. However, with the new Board in place, it has been suggested
there may be additional workshops desired during the first quarter of 2013 such as
Strategic Planning and a second RESTORE Act Workshop. Additionally, the Board
approves meeting calendars for April - June at the first meeting in January which will
include the Board’s Budget Policy Workshop in April. Staff requests Board discussion and
direction on workshop topics for the first two quarters of the year (January - June 2013).
Workshop dates/times and locations will be presented to the Board for final approval
during the January 8, 2013 meeting.
RECOMMENDATIONS: Discussion and direction by the Board concerning workshops
for January - June 2013.
