SUBJECT: Request to Award Bid #06- 103 Side Loader Refuse Truck
SUMMARY
Pursuant to Chapter 2, Section 2- 266, Purchasing Policies and Procedures, Fort Walton Beach
Code of Ordinances, request authorization to award Bid #06- 103 Side Loader Refuse Truck to
the lowest, responsive, responsible bidder meeting bid specifications, Great Southern Peterbilt of
Jacksonville, Florida, for the bid amount of$ 171, 254.48. This vehicle will replace City vehicle
2370, a 1995 Peterbilt Side Loader.
The lowest bid, submitted by Ingram Equipment and Action Truck Center, was nonresponsive
since it did not meet the specifications, as explained in Item 21, Comments.
If approved, sufficient funds are available in account number 403- 5434- 534- 6997 in the amount
of $ 168, 000 and a budget transfer will be made from account number 403- 1500- 534- 5501
Contingency
