STATEMENT OF ISSUE: Purchasing requests Board approval to begin negotiating contracts
with CBRE, Inc. And Realty House Commercial Properties, Inc. for Real Estate Leasing Broker
Services. (RFP BCC 02-17)
BACKGROUND & ANALYSIS: It was requested that Purchasing assist with the procurement
of a Real Estate Leasing Agent for Real Estate Leasing Broker Services. A Request for
Proposals (RFP) was advertised and a total of three (3) responses were received. Purchasing staff
moderated an advertised Review Committee meeting and discussions progressed regarding the
selection of two (2) Real Estate Agents: CBRE, Inc. and Realty House Commercial Properties,
Inc. It was determined that having two (2) brokers gave the County flexibility depending on the
parcels that are available to lease.
Purchasing is requesting Board authorization to negotiate with both brokers as the highest ranked
candidates with fully responsive submissions to the RFP. The completed contracts will be
brought back before the Board for approval.
OPTIONS: Approve/Deny
RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends approval to begin contract negotiations with
CBRE, Inc. and Realty House Commercial Properties, Inc. for Real Estate Leasing Broker
Services.
