BACKGROUND: The recently-formed Northwest Florida Manufacturers Council will be
celebrating October 4, 2013 by coordinating student tours of manufacturing facilities throughout
the region and requests Board consideration and approval for a proclamation declaring the day
"Manufacturing Day" in Okaloosa County. In addition to the Proclamation, attached are a one-
page sheet on manufacturing in Northwest Florida and the Charter for the newly-formed Council.

in Okaloosa County.
