BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS AGENDA REQUEST DATE: February 16, 2016 TO: Honorable Chairman and Members of the Board FROM: Zan Fedorak SUBJECT: Request approval to award the bid to Horizons for landscape maintenance DEPARTMENT: Purchasing BCC DISTRICT: All STATEMENT OF ISSUE: Request approval to award the bid to Horizons of Okaloosa County, Inc. for the landscape maintenance for the Water & Sewer and Airports departments. BACKGROUND & ANALYSIS: On December 2, 2015 bids were due for landscape maintenance for the Water & Sewer and Airports departments and one (1) bid was received. Staff has reviewed the bid and found Horizon of Okaloosa County to be fully responsive for the maximum price of $104,825 annually ($55,217 W&S annually, $49,608 Airport annually). The proposed contract will be a three (3) year agreement with two (2) one (1) year renewals. Upon approval of the award of the bid, staff will move forward with preparing the contract. OPTIONS: Approve/Deny award to Horizons of Okaloosa County, Inc. for the landscape maintenance for the Water & Sewer and Airports departments. RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends approval of the award to Horizons of Okaloosa County, Inc. for the landscape maintenance for the Water & Sewer and Airports departments. RECOMMENDED BY: APPROVED BY: John Hofstad, County Administrator
