NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WALTON BEACH, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS: Soctioa 1. Aathority and Intent The authority for enactment of this ordinancc is contained in Chapter 166.021( 1), and Section 171. 044 of the Florida Stafirtes, and Section 2 of the City Chazter. Section 2. FindinSs of Fact The City Council of the City ofFort Walton Beach hereby finds the following: The City received an application for voIuntary annexation from Mr. Daniel R Durrett. The applicant has pmvided sufficient evidence of ownership of said property to be annexed. The subject property is contiguous to the municipal boundaries of the City of Fort Walton Beach, is an area tbat is reasonably compact, and is s,nincoFporated te ritary. The annexation of subject property will not result in the creation of any enclaves. The notice of annexation was duly published once a week for two consecutive weeks in the Northwest Florida Daily News, a newspaper published within the City of Fort Walton Beach. Upon adoption, this ordinance will be filed with the Cterk of the Court of Olcaloosa County, the Okatoosa County Adminish ator, the Ocean City-Wright Fire Control District, 4kaloosa County Property Appraiser, Okaloosa County Tax Collector, and the Florida Department of State. Section 3. Property Anneied The following described property is hereby annexed into the City of Fart Walton Beach: LO'F 7, BLOCK A, COUNTRY CLUB ESTATES, A SUBDNISION, ACCORDIlVG TO TIiE PLAT THEREOF RECORDED IN PLAT BOOK 3, PAGE 41 OF 7'HE PUBLIC RECORDS OF OKALOO SA COUNTY, FLORIDA. The total actual acreage of above described property is appmximately 0. 4 acres. At the time of the annexation there is a single-family dwelling with driveway on site. Parcel Number: 36- 15- 24-0540-OOOA- 0070 BK: 3416 PG: 1829 Section 4. Effect of Anneaat on The area annexed shall be subject ta all laws, ordinances, and regulations in farce in the City of Fort Walton Beach and shall be en6tled to the same privileges and benefits as other parts of the City of Fort Walton Beach upon the effecrive date of the annexation. The City of Fart Walton Beach is elecfing to provide all necessary services, including those of the Ocean City- Wright Fire Control District. The area annexed is subject to the Okaloosa County Comprehensive P!an and wning regulations. Said regulations shatl remain in full force and effect until the subject property is designated into a City of Fort Walton Beach Comprehensive Plan Future Land Use Map desigination and rezoned accordingly in the City of ort Walton Beach zoning map. Sestion 5. Municipal Bonndary The municipal boundary lines of the City of Fort Waltan Beach shall be amended to indude the annexed property described in this ordinance and in the attached" Location Map."
