In order to compensate the vendor for the proper disposal of the received material, it is necessary to amend the contract to include the unanticipated items. BACKGROUND: When creating the bid documents and negotiating the subsequent contract, staff develops a list of anticipated hazardous materials to be received. However it is exceptionally difficult to compile a list of all potential disposal items. Because of that, the contract allows for the vendor to submit disposal prices for unanticipated materials for review and approval by the Board of County Commissioners. These submitted items can be incorporated as an addendum to the existing contract. Attached is the letter and price list from EQ-The Environmental Company (EQ) requesting to add items and materials to the price list in contract number C14-2099-PW. Staff has reviewed the materials list and finds the pricing to be competitive for collection and disposal for the materials listed. OPTIONS: Approve/Disapprove Addendum #3 to Contract C14-2099-PW for the disposal of hazardous materials. RECOMMENDATIONS: Approve Addendum #3 to Contract C14-2099-PW for the disposal of hazardous materials. RECOMMENDED BY: APPROVED BY: Packet Pg. 1186 Ernie Padgett, County Administrator
