BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS AGENDA REQUEST DATE: August 18, 2015 TO: Honorable Chairman and Members of the Board FROM: James Puckett SUBJECT: Public Event Permit - CMSAF Binnicker 9K Run DEPARTMENT: Public Works BCC DISTRICT: 2 STATEMENT OF ISSUE: CMSgt (retired) Scott Delveau, representing the Air Force Enlisted Village in Poquito Bayou is requesting a Public Event Permit to raise funds for the Air Force Enlisted Village. BACKGROUND: The event will be held Saturday, August 29, 2015 from 7:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. The course will run from the South entrance to Bob Hope Village, around the compound and then along various roads in the Poquito Bayou neighborhood and return. A race route is attached. This request has been coordinated with the Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office who will be providing assistance with traffic during the event. OPTIONS: Approve / Disapprove RECOMMENDATIONS: Request Board approval for a Public Event Permit for the CMSAF Binnicker 9k Run event as submitted by CMSgt (retired) Scott Delveau. RECOMMENDED BY: APPROVED BY: John Hofstad, County Administrator
