BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS AGENDA REQUEST DATE: November 3, 2015 TO: Honorable Chairman and Members of the Board FROM: Ed Schroeder SUBJECT: Postponement of Photo Shoot DEPARTMENT: Tourist Development Department BCC DISTRICT: 2,4,5 STATEMENT OF ISSUE: Advising the Board that the photo/video shoot scheduled for the week of October 26 will be rescheduled due to weather and red tide, and cancellation fees will be incurred. BACKGROUND: A photo and video shoot to provide new campaign materials was scheduled for the week of October 26, but has been cancelled due to weather and red tide. The agency is working to reschedule, but the County will incur production crew, photographer, and talent cancellation fees currently estimated around $36K due to travel and shoot prep expenses already completed. The majority of the cost is talent and crew cancellation fees required since they were secured for these days and unable to accept other work. Task order 177 “Campaign Collateral Update” will be revised to include cancellation fees and be brought back to the Board at a future date. The purpose of this report is to advise the Board of the situation. OPTIONS: N/A RECOMMENDATION: For informational purposes only; no action required.
